The next flagship of the realme brand, the realme GT 2 ‘smartphone’, which will make use of Qualcomm’s latest high-end processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, will be presented on January 4 at an event that will take place in China.
This has been confirmed by the Asian company to Europa Press through a statement, in which it has assured that with its new launch “it aims to bring the most innovative technologies to millions of users around the world.”
realme GT 2 will be the successor to the current high-end realme GT and will be presented at an event that will take place in China on January 4, 2022.
The brand has claimed the use for the first time in its catalog of the latest high-end processor presented by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has already reached flagships such as the Moto Edge X30 and will soon arrive in the Xiaomi 12 series.
In addition to this, the manufacturer had already unveiled some of the features that will be present in the premium variant of its new family, the realme GT 2 Pro.
These specifications include the use of a wide-angle lens with the largest amplitude seen so far on a mobile, 150º, as well as a 500% wider NFC system and the use of a biopolymer material on its back.
What to expect from realme GT 2
During the presentation, we can expect at least two smartphones: Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro. The first model is credited with a 6.6 inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP (Sony IMX766) + 8MP + 2MP camera, Snapdragon 888 chip, 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charge, side fingerprint scanner, and cover Proprietary Realme UI 3.0 with Android 12 operating system.
As for the second Realme GT 2 Pro model, it will receive a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and QHD + resolution, a 50 MP + 50 MP + 8 MP camera, up to 15 GB of RAM, up to 1TB of ROM and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. New will also include an under-display front camera and a look that will differ from all current Realme smartphones.
