Recent development in the Nigerian educational sector would allow Senior secondary school graduates to know the results of their SSCE external examination following the recent announcement of the CEO and registrar of the National examination council, Mr Dantali Wushishi.
On Friday, The National Examination Council (NECO) Friday announced the release of the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) conducted in July.
The registrar of NECO, Professor Dantali Wushishi, made this announcement during an interview with journalists in Minna, the capital of Niger State. He pointed out that the NECO results of 2021 dropped in the rankings when compared with the previous examinations.
Wushishi explained that the participants attained five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics, while some also attained five credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.He said that number of registered students who made five credits and above including English and Mathematics was represented 71.64 per cent, when compared with 2020 SSCE internal numbers, which was a 73.89 per cent, with a 2.2 per cent drop.
He further explained that several candidates who made five credits and above irrespective of English language and Mathematics was, represented 94.04 per cent when compared with 2020 SSCE internal numbers of 91.9 per cent.Wushishi said that students involved in clear forms of malpractices in 2021 were, represented 1.63 per cent, whereas representing 2.63 per cent cases were recorded in 2020.
The register who reiterated the council’s zero forbearance for examination malpractices said applicable norms and excellence were maintained right from the planning stage to the release of the results.
He said the reduction in the position of malpractices is a result of strengthened monitoring of the examination by members of the governing board, operation and elderly staff of the council.
He said that students who participated in the NECO examination could now check their results on NECO website,www.neco.gov.ng.

Login to the NECO result checking website,www.neco.gov.ng
– Enter your exam Year ( 2021).
– Enter your Exam type i.e SSCE INTERNAL (JUN/JULY).
– Enter your token number.
- – Type your registration number.
- – Proceed to the “Check results” button, click on it to display your results.
- You can finally proceed to print result sheet ( Optional)
It is necessary to note that in 2021, the timing of all the external examinaYoutions in Nigeria and the entire West African region got changed due to the adverse effects of the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic.
Even though Nigeria isn’t affected by the coronavirus when compared with South Africa, the USA or European countries, the education sector of the economy can be seen as the most affected.
