Moving to PSG from Barcelona hasn’t been an easy one for Lionel Messi as unforeseen circumstances had hindered him from performing as expected.

Reports from Skysports had revealed that Mauricio Pochettino didn’t include Messi in the Paris Saint Germain squad which would face the German Leipzig in a return leg clash for the UEFA tournament.
According to reports, Messi was removed by Pochettino ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s squad to face RB Leipzig because of his recent injury.
Pochettino explained that the Football magician got a hamstring injury during their Ligue 1 clash with Lille, and PSG has explained that he is struggling with issues that omitted him from the squad.
A statement on PSG’s official website reads:
“Messi developed a knee and hamstring problem during the clash against Lille in France and due to this, it is unfortunately as the club decided to remove him temporarily from the squad”.
PSG have not yet given an exact timeframe for Messi’s recovery, but it has been reported that the 34-year-old could miss several games.
It was reported that the injury Messi had started when he played for his home country, Argentina during a world cup qualification round and over the weeks, the injury worsened.
It is expected that Messi would soon jet out to Spain to receive proper medical treatment from health experts.
How long the treatment would last Cannot be ascertained by the club but it has been confirmed that Messi would miss a Ligue 1 clash between PSG and Bordeaux,
but the club is hopeful he can return before the 20th of November as PSG and Manchester City would have a tough UEFA encounter on that day.
The major challenge faced by Messi is fitness and from observations, Messi’s performance for PSG can only be seen in the UEFA champions league as he is yet to score in the Ligue 1 tournament and this is the WORST season start for Messi since the 2005/2006 football season.
