Delta State Ministry of Health says that entry into the Delta State Community Nursing and Midwifery Programmes does not require payment for forms. Entry is free.
All interested candidates are to go through their communities and Local Government Councils for their names to be forwarded to the Ministry of Health. Names have already been received from some Local Government Councils.
Any candidate who has paid money for forms should go back to whoever they paid to for immediate refund.
The programme is an initiative of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to improve the ready availability of needed skilled human resources at the primary health level and thereby reduce maternal and child mortality, particularly in our rural communities.
For the avoidance of doubt, this Programme is designed to produce a competent cadre of nursing and midwifery practitioners who would at the completion of their training be resident within the communities that nominated them, to provide basic health care services at the grassroots with a view to meeting a good proportion of the basic health care needs of the rural and hard-to-reach communities in the state.
