However, the Club reported that its turnover accelerated from 387.8 million pounds to 416.8 million pounds because of an increase in the club’s broadcasting revenue;

despite the increase in their turnovers, the club announced its losses and according to their announcement,

it was due to the Coronavirus pandemic which forced a sharp reduction in Match ticket sales as fans were previously advised against entering the Football stadiums across the United Kingdom in an attempt to enforce the social distancing Covid-19 protocol aimed at reducing the spread of the dreaded virus.

Currently, the Chelsea football club is been funded by “Fordstam Limited”, a company reported to be controlled and managed by Roman Abramovich, the current owner of Chelsea. Chelsea FC admitted to this report and claimed that it couldn’t continue to support itself financially without the help from Fordstam limited.

Chelsea players celebrating their trophy win

As Chelsea Recorded a £145.6 Million Loss this year, the Club is under a difficult condition due to the Covid-19 infections and this might force them to play their January matches behind closed doors and of course, if this happens,

it means more losses for the club as match ticket sales which is one of the major sources of revenue for the team would be suspended.

Chelsea said Thursday they’ve inked three players for an aggregate of £109.7 million — striker Romelu Lukaku, goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and midfielder Saul Niguez, on loan from Atletico Madrid, since June 30.

In the same period, Chelsea added they had ended 13 players for a combined £103.7 million. They could also admit a further £16.4 millon if outstanding clauses in former transfers are all met.

Chelsea’s Russian Billionaire Boss, Roman Abramovich

As Chelsea Recorded a £145.6 Million Loss this year, it should be recalled that the Russian billionaire, Abramovich who is currently the owner of the team, bought the club in 2003 and since then,

he had taken some risks in his investment with Chelsea and this explains why he doesn’t tolerate bad performance as he fires coaches who fail to deliver and manage the players properly.
