“APC will be in very bad shape in 2023 election” – Wike
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike estimates APC’s imminent demise in 2023
The governor said the PDP would face various challenges in the run-up to the presidential election but that would not hurt the party.
He made the remarks in an interview with AIT television on Thursday, in which Wike said only one who is strong can stand for 2023 in the PDP.
There is a possibility that the APC will disintegrate completely as a result of the challenges it will face, which will not reach its peak in 2023, according to Rivers State Governor Wike , The Nation.
The governor linked his vision to the fact that his party, the PDP, would also face various challenges in fielding a candidate for the presidency in 2023, but that would not shake him.
He made the remarks in an interview with AIT television on Thursday in which he said he would stand firm and steadfast in running for the PDP presidency in the 2023 elections.
He said although the party had not yet decided which constituency to elect the president, only a strong candidate could contest the APC.
Coconut will be eaten at the presidential nomination
According to Wike, there was a lot of work to be done before the PDP decided to oust the president, The Nation reported.
“No one should come and tell you that fielding a PDP presidential candidate is a small task. The challenges are varied.
The one the APC will face will be defeated while the PDP will also be defeated.
“The PDP has restored its prestige in the eyes of Nigerians. So as the APC has lost, everyone wants to return to the PDP. ”
Wike said he had to check before giving any support to any candidate
Wike said he would support a president who would support everyone instead of focusing on himself.
So, Wike said, if one wants to support the PDP, one has to be courageous in the face of the tyranny of a party like the APC.
Wike said he was pleased with the PDP’s transformation by forming the National Working Committee, NWC.
