2022 FIFA World Cup: England Removed Declan Rice, Rashford, Others From The Squad

Qualification matches for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar are still ongoing and FIFA member countries are participating to secure their

chances of being among the 32 teams to compete in the next 2022 FIFA world cup which would be hosted by the Arabian country, Qatar.

One of the favourite countries to qualify in the next 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar in England and recently, the English National team announced

that England’s and West Ham Football star, Declan Rice would not participate in the next qualification match against San Marino and Andorra.

According to reports from Skysports, the English player, Declan Rice fell sick when he joined the English National team camp in St George and because of this could not cope with the ongoing training.

This means that a total of 5 English players wouldn’t participate in the next two qualification

matches for England and the include:- Declan Rice ( West Ham United), Marcus Rashford

( Manchester United), James Prowse ( Southampton FC), Mason Mount ( Chelsea FC) and Luke Shaw ( Manchester United).

According to reports, Arsenal’s team member, Emile Smith is expected to replace the other English team players who dropped out over unforeseen circumstances.

However, despite the reduction in the number of players, the English National team hadn’t made any move to call other players to replace them.

The English FA had released the list of the England squad ahead of the match against Andorra and San Marino and they include:-

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford, Sam Johnstone, Aaron Ramsdale.

Defenders: Ben Chilwell, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Tyrone Mings, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James, Harry Maguire.

Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Kalvin Phillips, Jude Bellingham, Emile Smith Rowe.

The Forwards for the English team includes Tammy Abraham, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, Bukayo Saka.

England needs four points from their final two group games to be certain of qualification to the 2022 World Cup.

Recently, the England team are on top of the Group I table in the qualifications and if they can
secure at least four points from two matches, they would join Germany as one of the qualified countries to participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

On the other hand, their close Rival team, Poland is currently in the second position and

could wrestle the first position from England if the English team drop points in the next two final matches.
